Features and Applications
Similar to TEGO 450, S-450 is a high-performance specially modified polysiloxane and a representative silicone surface additive, delivering an exceptional balance of reliable flow, efficient leveling, and strong surface slip properties. It is specially engineered to provide superior substrate wetting and anti-cratering performance, while effectively reducing the airflow sensitivity of coating systems during the drying process.
By actively preventing the formation of Bénard cells (vortices), this additive ensures a flawless, uniform coating surface with enhanced gloss and consistent pigment orientation. It significantly boosts the slipperiness, scratch resistance, and anti-blocking characteristics of the dried coating film, without compromising recoatability or inter-coat adhesion.
Boasting high compatibility across a wide range of formulation systems, S-450 is an ideal choice for solvent-based, solvent-free, and waterborne coating applications alike.

Applications:
- Car OEM coatings and car repair coatings
- Wood coatings, furniture, plastic, industrial, and decorative coatings
Usage & Dosage:
- Recommended Dosage: Standard: 0.05% – 0.1% of the total formula
- Incorporation: Add during the paint mixing stage to ensure uniform and optimal distribution

Store in airtight container for 24 months, keep in a cool, dry place.
