Features and Applications

Similar to BYK-110, S-110 is a high-performance polyphosphate-based dispersing additive, specially developed for solvent-based and solvent-free coating systems, delivering exceptional anti-settling and anti-sagging performance to maintain long-term formulation stability. It adopts advanced steric stabilization (spatial hindrance) technology to effectively deflocculate pigments and inorganic fillers, breaking up agglomerates and ensuring uniform dispersion of solid particles throughout the coating system.

This specialized dispersant significantly reduces the mill-base viscosity during the pigment grinding process, effectively improving overall fluidity of coatings and resin systems, while boosting production efficiency by shortening grinding cycles. It greatly enhances surface gloss, color brilliance and fullness of the cured film, optimizing color development and ensuring consistent, vivid color presentation.

Additionally, S-110 effectively improves coating transparency and hiding power, eliminating common defects such as surface haze, floating color, and flooding. It delivers stable, high-quality finishing results, making it an ideal choice for professional industrial coatings, automotive coatings, epoxy systems and other high-standard formulation applications.

Application and Addition Amount

Applications:

Usage & Dosage:

• Recommended Dosage: Standard: 0.2% – 10% of the total formula
• Incorporation: Add during the pigment grinding or paint mixing stage to ensure uniform and optimal dispersion

Storage

Store in airtight container for 24 months, keep in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.
