Features and Applications
Similar to EFKA 4010, S-4010 is a high-performance modified polyurethane dispersant, engineered to maximize pigment utilization efficiency across full-range solvent-based coating systems, while also compatible with water-based and UV-curable formulations. It significantly boosts pigment dispersion efficiency and shortens grinding time, delivering exceptional viscosity-reducing dispersibility and rapid pigment wetting performance to streamline coating production processes.
This dispersant is specially optimized for common inorganic fillers and pigments, including titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate and other typical coating pigments, ensuring stable, uniform and fine grinding results, avoiding agglomeration and uneven dispersion issues. It also boasts robust anti-settling properties, effectively preventing pigment floating, flooding, surface mottling and other common defects in high-demand coating applications.
Additionally, S-4010 optimizes the uniform orientation of matte powder and enhances overall surface gloss and fullness, making it a versatile universal dispersant. It is widely applicable for achieving flawless, high-brilliance finishes in various solvent-borne color paints and high-end coating systems.

Application and Addition Amount
Applications:
- General Fields: All solvent-based, water-based coatings and printing ink formulations
- High-end Coatings: Automotive coatings, coil coatings, wood furniture coatings
- Industrial Coatings: Floor coatings, general industrial coatings, plastic coatings & inks
Usage & Dosage:
- Recommended Dosage: Standard solvent-based systems: 0.1% – 5% of the total formula; UV & Water-based systems: 0.3% – 1.0% of the total formula
- Incorporation: Add during the pigment grinding or paint mixing stage to ensure uniform and optimal dispersion

Storage
Store in airtight container for 24 months, keep in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.
